Kid-Tested Recipes for Schools & Families

What is the Local Food Lunch Toolkit?

The Local Food Lunch Toolkit is a collection of recipes, tools and resources to make serving wholesome, nutritious, from-scratch meals using local ingredients a breeze for busy food service professionals and families alike. It is available for download on our website in both English and French and is adaptable for use in school, community and home settings.

Best of all, every recipe is tried, tested and approved by Nova Scotia students!

Thank you to the partners who made this project possible: Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture, Farm to Cafeteria Canada and Western Kings Memorial Health Society. Special thanks to authors Jenny Osburn and Rosie Gair for their hard work, passion and dedication to this project!

Looking to promote the toolkit to your school or community? We have created a simple, printable poster explaining the toolkit, how it can be used and where to download it.
