Meet the Youth Panelists

Mindalynn Frelick

Mindalynn Frelick is a nursing student at St. Francis Xavier University with the goal of working as a pediatric nurse. She has always loved working with children and youth and finds it important to spread awareness about positive food relationships to hopefully make a difference in their lives. 

Nickaya Parris

Nickaya Parris, born and raised in the Community of Uniacke Square, Northend Halifax, is a recognized role model within the African Nova Scotian community, who allows her passion for nutrition, healthcare, and underserved communities to lead her daily. Currently completing the last semester of her Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of Toronto, Nickaya is now working in the field of Food Security as a Registered Dietitian.

Brianna Comeau

Brianna Comeau has lived in Nova Scotia all of her life up until recently, as she moved to Ontario to pursue a Master's in Social Work. Brianna is passionate about topics including food justice, and environmental impacts, and is excited to talk about her experience and knowledge.

Estelle Alexander

Estelle Alexander is a fourth-year Health Promotion Honours student at Dalhousie University. She is currently completing her internship at the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health as the Child and Youth Health Promotion Officer.
