Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

2 slices Whole grain whole wheat bread

1 slice Real sliced cheese (cheddar or whatever you like)

1 tsp Margarine

Add ons: spinach leaves or tomato slices or avocado slices or thin apple slices or thin pear slices

 

Directions

  1. Preheat your griddle at a medium level heat.

  2. Spread a thin layer of margarine on one side of each of the slices of bread.

  3. Place 1 slice, margarine side down on griddle. Layer with the cheese and gourmet add on veggie or fruit. Place the remaining slice of bread, margarine side up and cook until golden and cheese begins to melt - about 4 minutes.

  4. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for a few more minutes until the cheese has melted and bread is golden brown.
