Yield: 8-10 servings
3 lbs/1.5kg Apples
¾ cup/175mL Water
¼ tsp/1mL Cinnamon, ground
Pinch Nutmeg, ground
Wash the apples thoroughly. If you do not have a food mill, peel and core the apples.
Quarter the apples and place in a large saucepan with water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cover the saucepan, bring water to a boil, lower the heat and simmer until the apples are soft.
Pass the softened apples through a food mill to remove the peel and core, or mash with a potato masher.
